Enhancement Talent [Terry Taylor]

The gimmick Terrific Terry Taylor debuted in '92.
His second stint in the Federation.
I knew he'd come back someday. One way or another.
In World Championship Wrestling, tag teamed with Smothers.

'88 saw his Federation debut.
Scary Terry Taylor, teamed with Sam Houston.
The Conquistadors were their opponents.
After losing the match, Taylor turned heel.
Disowning Sam. Beat him down. Popped the fans. You're the man!
Get on the mic, and tell him you don't lose like that!!!

Now he's a heel. Bobby Heenan his manager.
Re-named the Red Rooster. Laughter escaped my face
when I saw him in my hometown.
Never brought me a frown. The greatest gimmick around!

A very skilled grappler, but the
gimmick called for him to act like a novice wrestler.
Heenan shoutin' orders from the side of the ring.
A classic time in wrestling. Storylines weren't intelligence insulting.

Rooster became fed up with the Brain.
Thirty second squash match in New Jersey's where it took place.
Mania 5, the first time and only time a Mania's been at the
same venue two years in a row.
Classic shows. People attended in droves.
Clotheslines seen many times throughout the night.

That's alright. This shit's tight.
I can take a quick view while I chew on a bite.
A healthy morsel when I crave more soul cleansing material. Rooster trading card in a time capsule.

Max out the fun; outta control.
I love to sit and watch the shit while eatin' a bowl of cereal
in the morning when I wake up cold.
Wouldn't trade this experience for jewels and gold, 'cause I'm sold.
Tapes archived, storage full.

No more room to put my material.
Must invest in an underground storage hole.
Must invest in a duplication console.
Back up every single frame. Make sure their locations ain't the same.
When I'm viewin' and chewin', no substitution.
The greatest thing in life, my favorite thing to be doin'.

The ring is the best thing for performing.
The red, white and blue ropes, my favorite color scheme.
I'm always entertained. It's never boring.
If you're chillin' with me, I'll give you a fair warning.

We're gonna watch professional wrestling.
In September '92, Terry continued jobbing.
Returned to the Federation, no mention of his prior gimmick.
He's an enhancement talent.

Jumped ship in August 93, he's had it.
A mid-card guy, never made it to the grand stage.

Now he's an announcer for the AWF.
Not unlike Solie, called a clothesline a lariat.
Back to WCW as a road agent.
Helped Bischoff come up with storyline content.

Later on, Bischoff was bought out.
This led Taylor down a familiar route.
Became a road agent for WWE.
Had trouble with three vertabre in his neck.
He had surgery. They were fused together.
Later, had vertebra six and seven joined.

Retired from ring competition.
Went to TNA, head of talent relations.

A skilled grappler, but the
gimmick called for him to act like a green wrestler.
Heenan shoutin' orders from the side of the ring.
My favorite time in wrestling. Storylines were always captivating.

Mania 5. This first time and only

Clotheslines seen many time throughout the night.

That's all right! I'll watch a fake fight.
Who would have thought it'd have me up watchin' all night?
Who would have thought it'd inspire songs for me to write?
I'm a big fan. I show support in every way I can.

Max out the fun, outta control.
I love to sit and watch the shit while eatin' a bowl of cereal.
In the morning when I wake up cold.
Wouldn't trade this for a fat bankroll.
'Cause I'm sold. Tapes archived, storage full.
